Alliance for Climate Education (ACE) is the national leader in youth climate science education and was recently named the 2012 Chicago Public Schools Service Learning Community Partner of the Year. ACE's presentation draws on the latest peer-reviewed science and is aligned with national and regional learning standards, bringing a unique depth and quality of content to the program. Following the assembly, ACE works with students to complete carbon cutting projects via science class or after school clubs, everything from energy efficiency retrofits to green fashion shows. All students are also welcomed to apply to participate in ACE's 5 free leadership training sessions each school year to further deepen critical leadership and project planning skills. This presentation will be a foray into ACE's award-winning resources and a preview of this year's ACE-sponsored, city-wide events.
